The Redmi K40 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 888 and triple camera

Following the release of the May 11 series, Xiaomi is now ready to unveil its second series of smartphones with the Snapdragon 888 5G chip next week. The Redmi K40 series will be unveiled on February 25, as confirmed by the company, and as usual, Xiaomi intends to heat some of the key features of the Redmi K40 before the official unveiling.

Xiaomi has revealed the design of the Redmi K40 series camera in an official post on Weibo. This design is completely in line with what has already been revealed by other sources such as TENAA. The Redmi K40 camera module shown in the image below has two large sensors (108-megapixel main sensor) and the phrase “AI Triple Camera” is inserted next to it. There are two other sensors between the two large sensors, one of which is probably the ambient light sensor. The LED flash and laser autofocus are also located at the top of the text.

In addition, Xiaomi has officially confirmed that Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 888 5G chip will power the Redmi K40 series. However, some sources have suggested that only the Pro version will use the Snapdragon 888, and the standard version of the Redmi K40 uses the recently unveiled Snapdragon 870 chip.

Redmi also shared a video teaser that demonstrates the Wi-Fi 6 connectivity capabilities of the Redmi K40 series. This phone can download up to 3.5 Gbps, which is great. However, what catches our eye the most is the screen with a high refresh rate, with a hole in the center and top.

Finally, it should be noted that the Redmi K40 would be equipped with a 4500 mAh battery, while the Pro model will have a larger battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh. More details of these phones will surely be released in the coming days as the Redmi K40 series unveils.
