Xiaomi yesterday unveiled a surprise new two 14- and 15-inch laptops from the Mi Laptop Pro series during the second day of its big event.
The 15-inch Mi Pro uses an old E4 display. This is the same type of panel used in Xiaomi’s flagship smartphones and has very good brightness (600 nits at its most). The display has a resolution of 3.5K, a pixel density of 261 pixels per inch, and a standard aspect ratio of 16 to 10. This 10-bit display fully supports DCI-P3 color coverage and is calibrated before shipping (deltaE or color difference is about 1). In addition, of course, another feature borrowed from smartphones is the use of Gorilla Glass on the screen.
Xiaomi Mi Pro 15 is equipped with 11th generation Intel processors. The standard version of this laptop uses the i5 and has a more advanced model with an i7 processor. In both cases, the graphics processor is a GeForce MX450, which uses 2 GB of graphics RAM (VRAM). The cooling system also consists of two fans.
This laptop has a 66-watt hour battery that supports fast 100-watt charge. In terms of connections, we can mention a Thunderbolt 4 port and two USB-C ports. Of course, Xiaomi has included a dongle free in the product box, which adds a full HDMI port and a USB-A port.
Xiaomi’s 15-inch laptop is quite slim and only 15.9 mm thick. In addition, the chassis of the device is made of grade 6 aluminum aircraft.
The Pro Laptop is now available for ordering and will officially go on sale on April 2. Priced at 6,500 yuan ($ 990 / € 845) for the i5 with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage, the i7 with the same memory configuration is priced at 8,000 yuan ($ 1,220 / € 1,040). Is for sale.
