Next to the main sensor is a periscope lens with 10x magnification and OIS support. This sensor also allows 20x combined zoom and up to 100-x digital zoom. There is also a mid-range magnification module with a 12-megapixel sensor, 3 x optical zoom, and OIS support for the Mate X2. Finally, a 16-megapixel ultraviolet sensor complements the quad-camera, which can also be used as a macro camera.

It should be noted, however, that a single-lens camera is also mounted at the top of the external display and inside a hole that can be used to take selfies and make video calls. This way, the internal display has no cuts or holes and cannot be used for video calling. A fingerprint scanner is also installed on the side of the body, which can be used easily even if the phone is open.

Huawei Mate X2 is equipped with Crane 9000 processing chip. Of course, unlike competing chips from the Snapdragon and Exynos series, this model is built on the 5-nanometer TSMC product line. The chip has four Cortex-A77 cores (one of which runs at 3.13 GHz) and four Cortex-A55 cores, and the Mali-G78 MP24 GPU.

While Huawei was expected to use its proprietary OS Harmony OS on the Mate X2, the phone comes with EMUI 11.0 based on Android 10 by default. The amount of RAM of this phone is 8 GB and 256 or 512 GB of internal storage will be available to its users.

And of course, the 5G Mate X2 modem should not be ignored. Huawei has carefully calculated the location of the antenna so that strong signals can always be received, regardless of whether the phone is held open or closed. As usual with Huawei phones, this model also supports two SIM cards at the same time, but the second SIM card slot is also used as an NM memory card slot.

A 4500 mAh battery with support for 55 watts fast charge is responsible for powering the Mate X2, and fortunately, a proper charge is included in the product box. In addition to the charger, inside the box is a USB-C cable, a USB-C headset (this phone does not have a 3.5 mm jack), a leather case, and a screen protector that is pre-installed on both screens.
