As we expected, Apple finally unveiled its four new handsets just minutes ago. Apple’s flagship iPhones are the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Both phones come with a unique design and similar specifications; this time, the difference will be more than the battery’s size and capacity.
Looking at the pictures of the new iPhone, you can see that Apple has finally made a relatively significant change in iPhone design after three years. More angular designs have now replaced curved edges, something we’ve seen before on the iPad Pro. Thus, it can be said that some design elements of the iPhone 5 can be seen in the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max.

The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max have 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens, respectively, which are 0.3 and 0.2 inches larger than the previous generation. Apple uses the OLED panel to display the best color accuracy and contrast and calls these screens Super Retina XDR. However, the biggest disappointment is the reuse of the 60Hz refresh rate. While all competitors have turned to faster 90- to 144Hz panels, even much cheaper ones. It is said that Apple’s inability to provide the required number of committees has forced the company to re-select the 60 Hz display.
However, Apple claims to have used the most robust glass to protect the iPhone screen, calling a ceramic protector. This protector is made of an advanced combination of ceramic and glass.
While the A13 Bionic is still the fastest mobile processor globally, Apple has used an even faster A14 Bionic processor in the iPhone 12. This processor uses 5-nanometer lithography for the first time. The six-core processor is up to 50% faster than competitors, according to Apple. The chip’s GPU will be up to 50% faster than its main competitors (probably the Snapdragon 865).
Apple has also upgraded the A14 Bionic neural engine’s cores from eight to 16 cores to enable 11 trillion operations per second.
In addition to the standard 12-megapixel and ultra-wide cameras, the iPhone 12 Pro is also equipped with a 52-megapixel 52mm telephoto (2X) camera. It is interesting to know that this year, the iPhone 12 Pro Max uses a 65 mm lens with a 2.5x optical magnification.
IPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max can record HDR video with 10-bit color depth. It also allows you to record night mode and time-lapse videos to record great videos at night.
Both Pro versions of the iPhone can also shoot in Apple ProRAW format. This gives you the benefits of both editable raw images and Apple AI computing.
New LiDAR sensor
Apple has also added a LiDAR sensor to the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max this year. The Sensor, previously used in the iPad Pro, can detect objects and scan rooms. In this way, the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max will be the best phones for augmented reality.
Apple also uses the Sensor to improve autofocus in low light, both in images and videos. This improves focus speed in the dark by up to six times.
A new type of wireless charging

Apple is offering the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max with a base price of $ 1,000 and $ 1,100 for the 128GB version, respectively. The 256 and 512 GB versions will also be available at a higher price.
